Known Issue 10.01.09 | AUDIO PROBLEMS
Dropped audio or video is most often the result of connection problems between RealPlayer and the streaming server.
The following settings adjustments to RealPlayer will optimize your connection
- Open Real Player
- Select the Tools -> Preferences menu.
- Under "Connection," select "Network Transports."
- Under "Network Transport," check the box next to "Manually configure connection settings."
- Click the "RTSP Settings," then click "Reset to Recommended." Then, uncheck all "Attempt to use..." boxes except "Attempt to use HTTP for all content."
- Click "OK."
- Restart RealPlayer.
Most users report that this clears up any issues with lost audio or video. If you are still experiencing lost audio or video after making these adjustments, please submit a support request to supportdesk@iit.edu and we can assist you further.
Known Issue 08.27.09 | MISSING SLIDES
IIT Online has identified a particular software configuration that can affect the performance of lecture videos that include synchronized slides.
Users with the recommended RealPlayer 11 install (or Real SP) who are viewing content through Firefox on PCs running Vista will not see any synchronized slides; video playback is unaffected.
While we are working on finding a solution, we recommend using IE as an alternate browser for Vista users. Vista users who are committed to using Firefox, can install a legacy version of RealPlayer (10.5), downloadable at Real Legacy Software Archive .
