Procedures for Graduate Open Registration

1. Contact the Academic Department for advisement (as appropriate) and removal of advising hold.

2. Once the adviser has removed the advising hold, the student should proceed to complete registration by the method of choice.

Procedures for Graduate Late Registration

1. Contact the Academic Department for advisement (as appropriate) and removal of advising hold.

2. If registration is being completed after the last day of registration (due to delayed advising) contact the Office of Academic Affairs to petition for late registration. Obtain the 701 Petition form and fax the form to Mamie Phillips, Asst. Dean, Fax: (312) 567-7140, Email: phillips@iit.edu, Phone: (312) 567-6889.

3. Once the adviser has removed the advising hold, the student should proceed to complete registration by the method of choice, if registration is being completed by the last official date of late registration.

4. If the student has petitioned Academic Affairs for registration, once approved, the student should contact the Student Services Center for assistance completing manual registration. Email: student.services@iit.edu or phone (312) 567-3100. Web registration is not an option under these circumstances. Registration forms in PDF format can be obtained from Enrollment Services.

Procedures for raduate RegistrationUnder Special Circumstances

Online registration is not an option.
